We pick up you from Leh airport on your arrival at Leh and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free to acclimatize. In the evening take a walking tour in the local Leh market.
Enjoy the Cultural and natural beauty of Leh toad as you are going to visit some of the most important tourist places in Leh. In the morning after breakfast you will drive to visit Shey Palace or Gompa, later visit Thiksey monastery, & Hemis Gompa.
Return back to hotel and relax. In the evening visit Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa.
Enjoy a great drive to Stok Village and have an enjoyable first day of trek to reach Chang Ma. Your day will start with a drive to Stok village. Your drive In the beginning would go through many exotic and beautiful scenes. The drive to the Stok village is an adventurous one with full of natural beauty and lush green trees. The Stok village is situated south of Leh and it is well known for a royal palace. The recently crowned king of Ladakh lives here. There is also a small museum inside the palace which has beautiful and religious artefacts.
On arrival at Stok village we trek to Chang Ma. This might be a difficult trek and you may experience the joy of a snow trek. You would like to spend the night here and the overnight stay would be in tents in the open lands.

The entire trek today passes through the barren grey landscape of Ladakh. Fairly an easy day to trek along the river. Today you will see the real beauty of Ladakh and you will get the answer why Ladakh is known as Cold Desert. During the trek you will cross small streams 2 – 3 times. You are going to love overnight stay in Tents.

Wake up in the morning and enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee. After breakfast we set foot on the trail to the base camp. The trail from Mankorma to the Stok Kangri Base Camp can be classified as moderately difficult and strenuous. It is an adventure filled journey with walking on ice or snow, to crossing rivers. Though you will find climbing and breathing difficult, but the beautiful scenery compensates for it and make it wonderful excursion.
The trail becomes smoother and wider after crossing a hissing river. You will also find numerous alpine lakes and meadows along the way.
On reaching the basecamp enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with some cookies or kitchen team can serve you with hot Maggie.

Not hiking today as we are going to have a rest day for better acclimatisation. You can enjoy a walk around the campsite and get familiar with the place. Meet your trek guide and know the possibilities and challenges that are involved further. Your challenge leader and guide would let you know about all the different challenges you may find on the terrain. You should have adequate knowledge and experience to go around the mountains.

Big day today as we are going to summit the Stok Kangri (6120 m). Your day will start with an early wakeup to start the climb. The route goes through glaciers and then comes to steep slopes to the summit ridge. It’s a long climb, so physical and mental fitness is must to have. For a average climber It would take somewhere between 9 to 10 hours. 2 to 3 hours additional for slow climbers. The summit offers you great views of the area. The wide and open surroundings give you a royal feeling. Towards the north, you would get a view of the Karakoram range. The Saser Kangri dominates the sky in the north along with the Karakoram, and the Zanskar ranges in the south.

The last phase of your Stok Kangri trek will make you travel for 12 km till you reach the village of Stok. On arrival in the village, board a vehicle and drive back to Leh. After you reach the town, transfer to your
lodging and rest for the night.

The best preparation for a trip of this nature is regular hiking in a hill or backcountry, particularly involving sections of steep terrain. One should have an experience of the trek over 14000 ft. done twice. Experience of walking in crampons is useful, although instruction in all necessary techniques for the climb will be given at Base Camp.

Select the right type of shoes is essential- for summer season, use low-ankle hiking shoes but if you go on cold conditions, then buy trek boots with industry accredited material used in their build.
